Should I stop taking Sulfasalazin if I feel unwell after it?

Take sulfasalazin 500 mg prescribed by the rheumatologist. Now it will be the second week since I take. I suffer from psoriasis of the joints and I have objections to the selection of the right drug. I feel very bad after it, I do not have the strength to function normally. Isn't it better to set aside?

Sulfasalazin is an anti-inflammatory drug used m.in. in rheumatoid arthritis. In case of doubt as to the legitimacy of the choice of the drug by the doctor, I encourage you to repeat the consultation. You can also use teleadvice via, for example, the Gdziepolek.pl portal:

https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

According to the package leaflet of the drug, in case there is unnatural fatigue, it is recommended to consult a doctor urgently. Discontinuation and continuation of the drug should be consulted with a doctor.

I also encourage you to report the occurrence of side effects of the drug. Reporting adverse reactions allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:

I enclose a link to check the availability of Sulfasalazin and make a reservation at the selected pharmacy:
