The indication for reimbursement is: "Type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients treated with at least two hypoglycemic drugs, with HbA1c ≥ 7.5% and very high cardiovascular risk understood as: 1) confirmed cardiovascular disease, or 2) damage to other organs manifested by: proteinuria or left ventricular hypertrophy or retinopathy, or 3) the presence of 3 or more of the main risk factors listed below: -age ≥ 55 years for men, ≥60 years for women, -dyslipidaemia, -hypertension, -smoking, -obesity"
