Can the use of Amitriptyline for 8 days affect the result of the cortisol test? The endocrinologist was late for the appointment and ordered a cortisol test. Now I wonder if this drug can affect the result of the study.

Amitriptylinum is not expected to have a significant effect on the results of the cortisol study. However, it is worth informing the doctor interpreting the results of the study about all recently used drugs.
