Madopar without HBS are ordinary capsules with an immediate release of the active substance. According to the manufacturer: "The pharmacokinetic properties of Madopar HBS mean that the onset of action occurs later than with standard products. The clinical effect can be achieved more quickly with Madopar HBS together with the standard formulation or with tablets for oral suspension of Madopar. This can be particularly useful if you give your first morning dose, which should usually be higher than the subsequent doses you take during the day. The dosing regimen of Madopar HBS shall be determined individually, slowly and with extreme caution, at intervals of at least 2 to 3 days between each dose change."
