Hello, 4.06.2023, I started treatment with Saxenda. I injected this drug incorrectly, because when the lowest dose should be increased after a week, I increased after more than two and so I increased subsequent doses almost every 3 weeks until the dose of 1.8. I stopped taking this drug, overnight, without consulting a doctor because I felt very bad after it. After weaning, I started to feel normal. In the meantime, my period was long late, so I went to visit a gynecologist, who said that I have a cyst on the right ovary about 2.5 cm. (He stated that it does not require either excision or treatment,) After discontinuing the drug, I am another long time late. My gynecologist is on vacation, now I do not know if I have anything to fear, whether menstruation is late because of saxende or cyst. Is there a possibility that this medicine may delay menstruation?

There are no reports of an increased incidence of menstrual disorders in women taking Saxenda. An ovarian cyst can be the cause of menstrual disorders. In the case of a late period, if you are sexually active, it is worth excluding pregnancy in the first place. If pregnancy is excluded, it is worth going for a follow-up visit to a gynecologist.
