What should I do if I peeled off the second Evra patch and mistakenly did not stick the third?

Hello. She has been using evra contraceptive patches for a year and a half. On Thursday I should peel off one patch, and stick another (the third from the package). I confused the weeks, so I didn't stick another one. After reading the leaflet, I immediately stuck the patch (Saturday morning) so that there was no more than 48 hours. On Sunday, however, I got ties. What should I do now? Should I start a new pack on the day of the patch change, or should I take a one-week break as standard?

If you have not had the patch applied for more than one day (24 hours or more), your contraceptive protection may be impaired. In this case, you should stop the current cycle and immediately start a new one, putting on another Evra patch - this is then a new "Day 1" and a new "Patch Change Day" (in your case Saturday). It is necessary to use an additional method of contraception (e.g. a condom) during the first 7 days of the new cycle.
