I applied momecutan to the skin and not knowing that it was not allowed I covered it with a plaster. After removing the skin where the cream was is paler, skin pigmentation is reduced. Will I get past this side effect?

Corticosteroids, such as Momecutan, can affect the skin's natural pigmentation processes, especially with long-term use or use on larger areas of skin. Occlusive dressings, such as a patch, may increase the absorption of the medicine through the skin, which could potentially increase side effects, including reduced pigmentation. Whether the observed side effect will be transient depends on several factors, such as the individual reaction of the body, the duration of use and the dose of the drug. For many people, side effects such as reduced skin pigmentation are usually reversible and disappear after stopping the drug. During this period, I encourage you to use a cream with a high filter (e.g. SPF 50) so that the change does not become permanent.
