Should menstruation subside after the application of the vaginal disc?
19.99 zł

Good morning, after the first application of the vaginal disc on the first day of menstruation, should this menstruation stop? Does it continue normally as it did before the introduction of the album? My menstruation is normal and I do not know if it should be so and if I am already protected against pregnancy. Thanks in advance for your reply

Usually, menstrual bleeding does not go away immediately after the application of the vaginal disc and lasts at least a few days. In addition, it is worth bearing in mind that when using hormonal contraception, especially at the beginning, spotting or intracyclic bleeding may occur. This is due to the fact that the body needs time to "adapt" to hormonal changes. This period usually lasts about 3 months. The occurrence of bleeding does not mean that contraceptive protection is not maintained.
