Can I use Pecto Drill and Mucosolvan Inhalations at the same time?

Good morning, the child is prescribed inhalations of Mucosolvan and Pecto drill syrup 2x a day. Which of the preparations to give first – syrup or inhalation? Is there a time gap between them?

Carbocysteine (Pecto Drill) and ambroxol (Mucosolvan) belong to the same group of drugs - mucolytics - drugs that thin mucus in the airways, the use of which is intended to facilitate expectoration. Due to the possibility of intensification of the cough reflex after the use of the above-mentioned drugs, the last dose should be administered no later than 4 hours before bedtime. The use of two drugs from the group of mucolytics at the same time is not standard practice. Theoretically, no interactions have been shown between these drugs that could adversely affect the effectiveness and safety of their use. No interval is required. The order of administration in this case is not important. However, it is worth making sure that both drugs are to be used at the same time. If you have not received detailed information on the dosage, you should consult your prescribing physician.
