Can I be pregnant?

Hello. Last Wednesday I got menstruation according to the cycle, but it lasted only 3 days, usually lasts 6 days. Menstruation was abundant, noticeable small clots. My lower abdomen hurts now and I feel slightly tender breasts. I did two tests, they came out negative. Can I be pregnant? Is it maybe already delusional, we try to be careful with my husband because we already have 3 children.

Please note that pregnancy tests are usually reliable about 1-2 weeks after the expected date of the start of menstruation. If you have done the tests correctly and the results are negative and you have had bleeding resembling menstruation, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Shortening the duration of menstruation and other changes in its nature can have various causes, e.g. hormonal changes, stress, lifestyle changes, changes in diet, infections, etc. Lower abdominal pain and breast tenderness can be related to various factors such as ovulation, hormonal changes in the body, premenstrual tension, etc. If the symptoms are bothersome or intensify, I encourage you to make an appointment with the attending physician, who will adjust the treatment according to your current clinical condition. If you are unable to get to your doctor, the GdziePoLek.pl service also allows you to obtain a teleconsultation with a doctor: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/z-ginekologiem
