Could topical Ovixan have affected my period?

Good morning. Could Ovixan liquid 1mg / g applied topically to stretch marks in the lower abdomen { recommended to me by a dermatologist} could affect the course of my menstruation { menstruation very scanty, lasted only 1 day and then there was only spotting}. I would like to add that I am 46 years old and I am entering the perimenopausal period according to my gynecologist and at the last examination I was with him 2 weeks ago and everything was ok with me. Thank you in advance for your reply

In my opinion, it is unlikely that topical Ovixan could affect the course of menstruation. The results of dermal absorption studies indicate that the systemic absorption of the drug is less than 1%. Only with excessive and prolonged topical use of glucocorticoids (such as mometasone furoate, the active ingredient in Ovixan) could side effects and systemic effects occur. If you follow the doctor's instructions, then such side effects should not occur.
