Can Xifaxan cause redness on the face?

Hello, for 2 days I take xifaxan 200mg 2x a day, I have inflammation of the sigmoid colon, diverticulosis and irritable intestines. Diarrhea subsided, the stomach does not hurt but redness appeared on the face. Is it an allergy to the drug? Do you continue to take xifaxan ? The doctor prescribed him for 7 days. I greet and ask for an answer, maybe there are any other enteric antibiotics?

Facial redness is an uncommon side effect of leu Xifaxan - it affects up to 1 in 100 people using the drug. If the use of the drug is associated with too much discomfort and you are unable to function normally, you should consult a doctor.
