Hello, I am 19 years old (female). I have elevated tsh, glucose is normal, I have a visit to an endocrinologist in a few days. Is it normal that with a higher tsh I have a huge appetite and weight increases? My sisters also have thyroid problems (hypothyroidism) and one of them described her symptoms as such. I wonder if this is one of the symptoms of elevated tsh, or if it could be related to something else.

Weight gain may be associated with elevated TSH. However, in order to clearly determine whether in your case it is the cause of weight gain, appropriate diagnostics and consultation with a doctor are necessary. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with interesting materials and leave information about the possibility of using teleconsultation: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/leki-na-niedoczynnosc-tarczycy https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja
