Sildenafil Medreg is only indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in adult men. However, Sildenafil (active substance) is an effective drug used in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension, both its primary form and secondary - resulting from inflammation of the connective tissue. The drug is used in both men and women. In children and adolescents, it is also used in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension caused by congenital heart defects. It differs from Sildenafil used in erectile dysfunction primarily in doses and the scheme of their use. In the first case, it can be taken only once a day, in the treatment of hypertension it is used several times and in higher doses. Treatment of pulmonary hypertension with Sildenafil should be supervised by a physician experienced in the management of this type of therapy.
