Should I supplement with selenium?

I did a selenium test, the result came out 71.55 μg / l from what I read on the Internet, the norm is from 75 to 85 μg / l. With the result I went to the doctor pos. And I learned that there is nothing about selenium in the recommendations. The lower limit of normal is missing 3.45 μg/l. Will the use of products in tablets in this case be necessary, or should I simply increase the amount of products in the diet that are rich in selenium, such as Brazil nuts, salmon, tuna, beef, turkey fillet, eggs?

In my opinion, selenium supplementation with tablets is not necessary. Most Poles have selenium content within normal limits. The Lord is also within the boundaries, but not below them. A good choice will be the introduction of products to the diet of those you mentioned. The optimal dose for our latitude is considered to be 70 mcg for men - it's really not much and we are able to supplement it with the diet. After a few weeks of changing eating habits, he suggests testing blood again. In the case of selenium, there is a very thin line between a safe and toxic dose, which is why supplementation should be preceded by a doctor's visit, so if the doctor has not recommended supplementation - there is no need.
