I do not recommend drinking alcohol while taking omeprazole, especially when you are driving in the morning. I have been taking omeprazole daily for several years.
In the evening I drink 0.5 and I have 0.70 in the exhaled and in the morning I get up and I have more in the exhaled and I'm intoxicated. It certainly delays the absorption of alcohol.

Omeprazole does not interact with alcohol, however, alcohol consumption alone can reduce the effectiveness of treatment, as alcohol increases the secretion of stomach acid, which is supposed to inhibit omeprazole.
