Good morning I have been using contraception with Evra patches for a year. A week ago (14.03 I should stick 3 patches, and 24.03 I should get menstruation) Unfortunately, I forgot to stick the third patch, so contraception did not work for a week. My question is, what should I do now? Wait until menstruation and with 1 day of bleeding stick the first patch? Best regards

If you experience a break in the use of Evra patches at week 3 for more than 48 hours, it is recommended that you stop your current contraceptive cycle and start a new four-week cycle immediately with a new patch. (So we have a new "Day 1" and a new "Patch Change Day"). For the first 7 days of using the new patch, it is necessary to use an additional contraceptive method. Contraceptive effect during the break is not guaranteed. If at this time there was a rapprochement, then there is a high probability of fertilization. In this case, it is recommended to perform a pregnancy test before sticking a new patch. In your special case, you can wait until 24 (i.e. until tomorrow) and apply the patch on the 1st day of menstruation - if it occurs. There is a high probability that due to the break in the use of patches, the menstrual cycle has been disturbed or fertilization has occurred. If menstruation does not appear and the pregnancy test is negative, then a new contraceptive cycle should be started.
