After the first use of Saxenda, the pre-filled syringe can be stored at room temperature (up to 30 degrees Celsius), while before the first use the drug should be stored 2-8 degrees Celsius. Just like food, any medicine can expire. The expiration date after opening is specified by the manufacturer of Saxenda for 1 month from the first use. It determines how long after the first unpacking of the medicinal product it can be safely used in order to retain its medicinal properties.
