Can bleeding mouth ulcers be caused by an antibiotic or an infusion of pumpkin seeds?
Good morning, I wanted to ask about a case: my mother has been taking cefuroxime prescribed by a doctor for 4 days in connection with renal colic, this morning about 11 she drank an infusion of pumpkin seeds and about 13 on the tongue appeared underbleeding ulcers. My question is whether the symptom described above can be related to cefuroxime, or is it more of a reaction to this infusion?

If earlier mom used an infusion of pumpkin seeds and such symptoms did not appear, then the cause may be an antibiotic. If the infusion of seeds has not been used before, you should first stop using the infusion, if the discomfort worsens or does not disappear, it is worth consulting a doctor. You may need to use a rinse into the mouth or a wider diagnosis. Until consultation with a doctor, you can use, for example, an infusion of sage for mouthwash or chlorhexidine solution.
