The maximum daily amount of antibiotic for a child weighing 23 kg is about 15.3 ml, it is given in 2 or 3 doses - that is, 2x a day for 8 ml is quite a good dosage. (In the upper dose limit, but still normal). Administration of the antibiotic should be continued 2 to 5 days after the resolution of symptoms. The prescribed volume of the bottle may therefore not be sufficient to carry out a full treatment. In such a situation, it will still be necessary to try to contact the doctor.
