Tomorrow at 17:00 I go to a psychiatrist for the first time after a year's break. Do you have any advice for me about the visit? I'm afraid of how it will be and I could use some good advice

Fear of visiting a psychiatrist, but not only (e.g. gynecologist or other specialist) is felt by many people. You are not the only one. 1. Please note that the doctor is there for you. It is there to listen - not to judge. 2. Please do not conceal the facts, speak truthfully - how you used the medication, whether you saw improvement, whether any side effects occurred. You can think before and write down all the information about the drugs. 3. As much information as you give the doctor, he will know. The more information, the better the diagnosis will be made and assessed whether there has been an improvement. 4. A psychiatrist sees a few/a dozen people with various diseases every day, you are not the only person who has a problem in the mental sphere. It will be good :) A psychiatrist is a specialist like any other. Please trust him.
