Is it possible to combine oral and vaginal probiotics?

Hello, Please answer- can you simultaneously use Provag orally and Lakcid intima vaginally? Would it be better to use Invag- together with provag because the same strains are present? Thank you for your reply, best regards

There are no contraindications to combine a vaginal probiotic with an oral one. Such a strategy may even be beneficial in preventing the recurrence of intimate infections. The vaginal probiotic ensures rapid (up to 3 days) local colonization, while the oral probiotic ensures colonization of both the anus and vagina. This hinders the spread of yeast from the anus towards the vagina, and at the same time facilitates the same for probiotic strains. The effects of the oral probiotic are visible later - only after a dozen or so days, but this is not an obstacle if the goal is prevention.
