Should you listen to the doctor or what is in the Tribux leaflet?

Tribux forte, a gastroenterologist doctor prescribed me this drug 2x1 for two months - I read on the Internet that it should not be taken for more than three days and I am starting to be afraid Should I listen to the doctor or what is on the leaflet?

Tribux forte should be used for as long as your doctor tells you to. The Tribux forte leaflet does not say that Tribux forte should only be used for three days. Most likely, you have reached for the wrong information on the Internet. In fact, in the leaflet of Tribux Bio (note: it is an over-the-counter drug, with a lower dose of the active substance and packaged only 10 tablets) you can find a provision that the drug "should not be taken for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor". Please note that this leaflet limits the duration of use, but the medicine is available with a prescription and as self-medication. The point is that the patient with persistent or recurrent gastrointestinal complaints should not treat himself for a long time. In this way, you can lead to masking the symptoms of a more serious disease. However, since you have been to a gastroenterologist, i.e. consult a doctor, you should use Tribux forte as directed for two months. I enclose additional information about the preparation - prescription drugs can be booked at GdziePoLek and collected stationary upon presentation of the prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/79864/tribux-forte-tabletki/apteki/w-warszawie
