Hello, My daughter was diagnosed with urinary tract inflammation a few weeks ago. She was given an antibiotic for 5 days. After another examination, there were still bacteria in her urine and she was prescribed furagin for a week. A week after its use, I performed urine test results and it came out: leukocytes 14 hives, fresh erythrocytes 2, leached 2, numerous bacteria, mucus bands numerous. The doctor stated that the results are correct, or are you sure?

It is difficult to question the opinion of a doctor who knows the full clinical picture of a given patient and the current state of health. Pharmacists also do not deal with the interpretation of urine tests. However, the presence of bacteria does not necessarily indicate infection and further infection of the urinary tract, because bacteria are present in the final section of the urethra and this is natural. Not always the presence of bacteria in the urine requires treatment, especially if it does not cause symptoms. I would trust the doctor.
