Good morning, for the second month I take Flunarizine for migraine headaches (2 tablets per night), but there is no abolute improvement. Is it time to change to another drug? After what time of use do the effects appear with this drug?

Flunarizine is a drug used for the prevention of migraine attacks. The use of the drug is not aimed at treating acute migraine attacks, but at preventing seizures. The effects of the drug are not immediate. The full therapeutic effect is observed after a few weeks of taking the drug. In some cases, this period can last up to several months. Given the above, a change of medication does not seem necessary at this stage of treatment. However, it is worth seeking medical advice, because it is he who decides on therapy. Perhaps he will decide to modify it, e.g. implement supportive treatment. You can learn more about migraine from the following materials: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/migrena-niezwykly-bol-glowy
