Can Izotek cause spotting?
Hello, for some time more or less since the beginning of the year I have been accompanied by spotting. A year earlier, the problem was similar, but it stopped with taking the drug. I would like to add that I have been taking izotek since May 2022. He also uses contraception. Could it be because you are taking this medicine? What could be the other reasons? Best regards

Adverse reactions to Izotek do not include genital bleeding. This does not mean that spotting cannot be related to the medicine used. However, it is worth ruling out other causes in the first place. At the time of using birth control pills, irregular bleeding and spotting are usually observed in the initial period of use, usually for the first 2-3 cycles. The body then adapts to the changes occurring under the influence of hormones. If irregular spotting or bleeding occurs suddenly during long-term use, other causes, such as ovarian cysts or uterine fibroids, should be ruled out.
