Does sticking out the Evra patch during hand movement affect its effectiveness and is there a risk of pregnancy?
Good morning. I have been using evra patches for two months. Two weeks ago, on Saturday, I glued the 3rd patch. I had ovulation on Sunday. On Monday, the patch began to peel off at the bend and I made love unprotected. The patch touched the skin at the corners, only sticking out at the bend of the hand. What is the chance of pregnancy?

The risk of a possible pregnancy is negligible. First of all, I would like to point out that the mechanism of action of the patch consists primarily in inhibiting ovulation. Therefore, if you use the patches correctly, ovulation does not occur at all. If the patch was glued with the entire surface, and only became corrugated under the influence of hand movement - there is no cause for concern, its effectiveness is preserved.
