Hello, if you have previously used cefuroxime that didn't work, is there a chance that cefixime will work even though it's the same group of antibiotics?

Although both substances belong to the same group of semi-synthetic β-lactam antibiotics, they are two different generations. Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin of the second generation, Cefixime - of the third generation. Third generation cephalosporins show a wider spectrum of action - therefore, if cefuroxime did not work, the use of cefixime is justified.
