Can a husband use Diuram, Nonpres and Kalipoz at the same time if he has had CSR diganized?

Good morning, my husband was diagnosed with CSR, he is prescribed drops of nevanac, Diuramide (diuretic), Kalipoz (391mgions of potassium, in the leaflet information - do not use the drug if the patient is taking diuretics that reduce potassium excretion) and Nonpres (in the leaflet there is information not to use with diuretics or potassium supplements). On the logic of drugs are excluded, or jsst somewhere logic.

Medications that have been prescribed to the husband can theoretically interact with each other. However, it should be remembered that the combination of many drugs, which in your opinion are mutually exclusive, is often necessary to achieve the appropriate effect of treatment. In the case of CSR (central serous retinopathy – please let me know if I misinterpreted the disease entity) it is necessary to lower the pressure in the eyeball. For this purpose, diuretics are used – so-called diuretics. As you rightly pointed out, both Diuramide and Nonpres are diuretics. However, they have a different mechanism of action and a different effect on the concentration of potassium in the blood. Diuramide is a medicine that causes increased excretion of potassium in the urine. This may cause a decrease in the level of potassium in the blood, therefore it was ordered to take potassium in the form of the drug Kalipoz prolongatum. It is possible that as a reinforcement of the diuretic effect, the drug Nonpres is included. It is a so-called potassium-sparing diuretic – it is a diuretic less than Diuramide, but it contributes less to the loss of potassium in the urine. The use of Nonpres, Diuramide and Kalypozu is acceptable – based on the results of laboratory tests (m.in electrolyte levels), the doctor may have considered such a drug combination safe. However, it is necessary to take into account the possibility of an excessive increase in potassium in the blood, the symptoms of which are: muscle weakness, arrhythmias, shortness of breath and rapid fatigue. In this case, you should immediately consult a doctor.
