Can stomach pain in a child be caused by using Flixotide?
Hello, the daughter of 5 years had a chronic cough, the allergist prescribed us Flixotide on November 14 and on November 16 the daughter woke up with abdominal pain, vomiting (episodes of abdominal pain and vomiting repeated once a week for 3 weeks) can these symptoms be combined with the administration of this drug?

It is unlikely that the symptoms described are due to the inhaled medicine being administered. I would like to point out that stomach disorders are a very rare side effect of a medicine, i.e. occurring less frequently than in 1/10,000 patients. However, the risk of this side effect increases with incorrect inhalation. In the case of children, inhalation chambers are recommended for inhalation drugs, which facilitate the use of the drug and thus increase the safety of its use.
