I have once again reviewed the Summary of Product Characteristics of Lipanthyl Supra 160. The tablet is a coated tablet, not a capsule or a prolonged-release drug, but in fact in the content of the SmPC there is information to swallow the drug whole, during a meal. In connection with this fact - it would be better if the tablet did not divide and if you swallowed it whole. If you do not manage to overcome in this matter - please consult a doctor for a possible change of the preparation. I apologize for the divergent information on this issue, I suggested the form of the drug and the information contained in the SmPC escaped me. As for side effects - their occurrence is independent of whether the tablet is swallowed whole or not. Side effects are strictly related to the active substance and its effects on the body, while the most frequently reported side effects when using fenofibrate include digestive, stomach or intestinal disorders. Everything else is relatively rare.
Well, on the leaflet there is information that "Tablets should be taken during a meal, swallowed whole, washed down with water"... there is also information that the drug can cause a lot and uncool side effects so I do not know if I can divide and swallow ... if it is possible please check it again and write back

Yes, you can divide the Lipanthyl Supra tablet into 2 parts and then swallow it. Please note, however, that with capsules and prolonged-release tablets, no division of drugs should be made. I encourage you to read the availability of the drug and its leaflet: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/43940/lipanthyl-supra-160-tabletki-powlekane/apteki/w-warszawie
