I am after the 2nd dose of Trulicity and I have reflux and heartburn. Can I take Controloc?

I have insulin resistance and I'm obese. I am after 2 doses of Trulicity 1.5 mg. I'm bothered a lot by heartburn, reflux and stomach pain. Can I take Controloc ? Is it possible to combine these drugs?

To the best of my knowledge, medicines containing pantoprazole (e.g. Controloc control) do not cause significant interactions with Trulicity. Trulicity itself can affect the absorption of oral medicines, but in this case it is difficult to say how important the effect may be. If you have recently increased your dose of Trulicity, please note that symptoms such as abdominal pain and heartburn can occur and are usually transient and result from the mechanism of action of the medicine. In my opinion, it is worth first trying dietary changes, about which I wrote more in this thread: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/73654/saxenda-przy-dawce-1-2-mg-saxenda-zle-sie-czuje-mam-zaparcia-nudnosci-bole-b If the symptoms do not go away, you can try the ad hoc use of over-the-counter heartburn preparations https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/zgaga it is worth trying preparations such as: antacid preparations containing m.in.: calcium carbonate with magnesium carbonate or coating the gastric mucosa with sodium bicarbonate. Drugs containing pantoprazole can be used without consulting a doctor only for a short period of time and are not strictly drugs for heartburn, but reflux or esophagitis. In my opinion, in the case of a situation where we know that the symptoms are probably caused by the drug that the patient uses - it is worth trying other methods first than the introduction of another drug that will eliminate the side effect. If the pain in the stomach bothers very strongly, heartburn does not pass or worsens - it is worth consulting a doctor. Perhaps specific diagnostics are necessary. It all depends on your situation when it comes to treating diabetes and here you will be best advised by your doctor.
