Good morning, I've been using clindacne for a few days and I've noticed that I wake up in the morning with swollen eyelids. Should I stop this gel?

Swelling of the eyelids can be caused by Clindacne, especially if: - you are allergic to clindamycin (the active ingredient of the drug) or any of the excipients of the gel (carbomer, macrogol, propylene glycol, allantoin, methyl parahydroxybenzoate , sodium hydroxide) - the drug has been applied incorrectly - too close to the eye area, the manufacturer recommends avoiding the eye area when applying the gel, - the drug was accidentally introduced into the eye - e.g. by unconscious rubbing eyes before/after/during sleep with hands from which the gel residue has not been washed away If the swelling does not subside or if additional symptoms appear, discontinue the gel and consult a doctor. This can be done through the Portal WherePoLek: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja To alleviate the symptoms, you can use mild eye drops or ampoules with saline (e.g. Gilbert NaCl 0.9% https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/32833/gilbert-nacl-0-9-sol-fizjologiczna-plyn/apteki), which will mechanically rinse out any irritants. They are available without a prescription, you can order them with home delivery via WherePoLek: - Lacrimal Nature: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/88324/lacrimal-natura-krople-do-oczu/apteki - Euphrasia Firefly: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/97475/euphrasia-swietlik-krople-do-oczu/apteki - Lacrimal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/42107/lacrimal-krople-do-oczu/apteki
