Will discontinuation of Ranlosin cause erectile dysfunction and retrograde ejaculation problems to regress?

Hello. I suffer from frequenturia, the urologist diagnosed prostatic hyperplasia and prescribed 3 packs of Ranlosin. Already after a week of consumption, I noticed side effects of this drug: weakened potency, lack of libido and retrograde ejaculation. I have a question whether after the end of the treatment everything can return to normal?

The symptoms you have listed are common side effects associated with the use of Ranlosin. Termination of treatment should result in resolution of symptoms. Nevertheless, instead of discontinuing medication yourself, I encourage you to consult your urologist again. Treatment of prostatic hyperplasia is a chronic process, but due to the annoying side effects, it can be modified to increase your comfort. In erectile dysfunction, medicine has a wide range of solutions (e.g. drugs with sildenafil and tadalafil). Your doctor may also decide to switch from Ranlosin to another medicine that will cause erection problems to a lesser extent. Due to the lack of information about other medicines that you take and your general health, I will not recommend specific preparations to you. I encourage you to consult a doctor, you can also do it via the GdziePoLek portal: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja/
