Zinc ointment has a local effect. It can be applied topically to the skin when you are breastfeeding. During breastfeeding, an ointment for herpes with docosanol will also be safe, such as Erazaban: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/27501/erazaban-10-krem/apteki It is an over-the-counter drug and can be used to locally treat the early symptoms of recurrent labial herpes. The substance contained in the cream inhibits the multiplication of the virus that causes herpes - HSV (Herpes simplex virus). It is safe for pregnant and lactating women.
