Tavor is a prescription medicine that contains lorasapam, a benzodiazepine derivative. This substance has anxiolytic and anticonvulsant properties, relaxes muscles and has a hypnotic effect. The drug can be used in the immediate and short-term treatment of anxiety disorders of various origins and in sleep disorders that are associated with increased anxiety. The most commonly reported side effects are daytime sleepiness, dizziness, muscle weakness and ataxia.
