Can Asertin be used irregularly/temporarily?
Hi I used irregularly asertin 100 I felt good until there was a traumatic event in my life, after a few days there was anxiety, fears, tearfulness, insomnia. I called my doctor and said that I did not take medication regularly, she told me to take it regularly as I have saved and the condition should improve after 2-3 weeks. My question: I understand that I was not protected by irregular taking of pills and I have to wait for the full effects as at the beginning of taking the drugs?

For 5 days I have been taking regularly and I have the same feeling as I started taking asertin, that is, the symptoms have intensified ... The most persistent is insomnia, it does not allow you to function normally. And just when I started taking it after 3 weeks of insomnia, the night came in which I slept all over. I have hydroxyzine temporarily for sleeping but it does not help..

Asertin is an antidepressant that must be used systematically daily. It should not be used temporarily, because then it does not work properly, or does not work at all. As with most antidepressants, the first effects can be seen after about 3 weeks, so that an improvement in the patient's condition can be observed. In contrast, the total effect develops over several weeks. We also do not stop this drug overnight. Answer to your question: If the use of medicines was incorrect, you cannot expect effects such as those that should occur when using the drug as directed by your doctor. So you should wait about 3 weeks so that the body maintains a constant concentration of the drug and the expected therapeutic effect.
