If the first patch Evra applied on the 2nd day at 5 am and the bleeding started around 8 the previous day, does the patch work?

On the package it is written, that the first slice must be glued 1 day to 24 hours from the start of the cycle. If she stuck on the 2nd day at 5 am and the tailoring started around 8 the previous day, does the slice work? Which day should I treat as the first yesterday where the bleeding occurred or today when I glued it?

If you apply the first patch at 5 am, and the bleeding began at 8 am the previous day - this is still the first day of the cycle, no more than 24 hours have passed. Protection is maintained from the first day of wearing the patch. "The day of changing the patch" or the first day of wearing the patch is not the first day of bleeding but the day on which you actually applied the patch - that is, in your case, the day when you applied the patch at 5 am is "The day of changing the patch".
