The dosage recommended in the Summary of Product Characteristics is to increase the dose to improve gastrointestinal tolerance, the dose should be gradually increased by 0.6 mg per day at intervals of at least one week until a dose of 3.0 mg once a day. If the product is poorly tolerated for another two weeks after the dose increase, discontinuation of treatment should be considered. Increasing the dose of Saxenda is intended to avoid side effects on the part of the digestive system. When taking Saxenda, follow the instructions given by the doctor who ordered the medicine. Any dose changes or prolonged dose adjustments should be consulted.
