Can stomach disease during a 7-day break when using contraceptive pills adversely affect their protection?

Can stomach disease, i.e. vomiting and diarrhea during a 7-day break when using anti tablets, adversely affect their protection? During and after the break? Do I have to take extra care during the break and already when taking the tablets from the new blister?

Vomiting and diarrhea that occur during a break in taking birth control pills have no effect on pregnancy protection. Gastric problems have an impact when they occur while taking hormones - they can cause them not to absorb properly. If the stomach disease looks serious and there are reasons to believe that vomiting and diarrhea will persist also at the time of starting a new blister, then in this case you can think about additional protection also during the break, so that there is no situation in which, due to the ailment, the first tablet will not start the proper operation of the drug.
