Paracetamol( or Apap, Efferalgan) can be combined with Olfen (diclofenac). This is a very commonly used combination of analgesic effect. Olfen is not combined with other drugs from the same group of NSAIDs: acetylsalicylic acid (i.e. Aspirin), ibuprofen (Ibum, Nurofen), ketoprofen (Ketonal) or naproxen (Aleve), because it increases the risk of side effects affecting the gastrointestinal tract, m.in gastritis, gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal spasmodic states, bloody vomiting and diarrhea, tarry stools or peptic ulcer disease.
