Good morning, I forgot to ask the pulmonologist at the visit. How much time do I have to wait,to take a new inhalation. I have a change from Comboterol to Fostex. Do I have a day to wait without inhalations or 12 hours is enough? Can I take Ventolin emergency with Fostex ? Best regards

Comboterol and Fostex are two-component drugs, having in their composition a bronchodilator (Comboterol - salmeterol, Fostex - formoterol) and glucocorticosteride (Comboterol - fluticasone, Fostex - beclomethasone). Comboterol works about 12 hours, Fostex also. The dosage of Fostex is selected individually for the patient. Usually it is 2 x 1 inhalation per day. If Comboterol has been used 2 x a day for 1 inhalation, the second dose after 12 hours can be replaced with Fostex. Ventolin contains salbutamol sulfate, acting after a few minutes, can be used permanently or temporarily. Ventolin can be used by taking Fostex if such a dosage was recommended by a specialist prescribing drugs.
