Trimebutin (the active ingredient in Debretin) is a compound that regulates intestinal motility and its action depends on the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract. This means that it can help both in case of constipation and diarrhea, but also in spasmodic states of the intestines and in abdominal pain (in general in functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract). Debretin is also used to treat irritable bowel syndrome.
