To @Anna:

Vaginal itching after surgery to remove a polyp on the cervix can have several causes. Various disinfectants or anesthetics may be used during the procedure, which can cause irritation or an allergic reaction in the intimate area, leading to itching.

Polyp removal surgery may cause slight irritation of the cervical and vaginal tissues, which may manifest itself in itching in the genital area, especially in the initial phase of healing.

Although procedures of this type are carried out in sterile conditions, any surgical intervention carries the risk of infection. Itching can be one of the first signs of a bacterial, fungal or other infection that may have developed after the procedure.

If the itching persists or you experience other symptoms such as vaginal discharge, burning, pain, or fever, be sure to contact your doctor to rule out infection and possibly initiate appropriate treatment.

Gynalgin is a prescription-only medicine, so your doctor should decide on its use. Gynalgin is not a drug for prophylactic use. An indication for its use is an ongoing bacterial, fungal or protozoal infection. If you want to act prophylactically, it may be worth using over-the-counter probiotics or hyaluronic acid-based agents, e.g. https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/42178/lactovaginal-kapsulki-dopochwowe/apteki https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/50568/mucovagin-globulki-globulki-dopochwowe/apteki More here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/probiotyki-ginekologiczne https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/infekcje-intymne-jak-sobie-poradzic
