Is it possible that a side effect of taking Saxendy is high drowsiness and dizziness? I have been suffering from insomnia for over 6 years. Since I've been taking Saxende, I could still sleep. In addition, I am very weakened and dizziness often appears. Is all this normal?

In the information from the manufacturer of the drug Saxenda, we can read that insomnia during the first 3 months of treatment may be an undesirable effect, rather than increased drowsiness. Increased drowsiness can have many causes, e.g. be related to blood sugar levels (too low, e.g. less than 70 mg/dl or too high, e.g. above 160 mg/dl). It may also result from weakness associated with the loss of kilograms or improperly balanced nutrition. The cause may also be some deficiencies. In my opinion, what you can do yourself at home is certainly monitor the level of glucose in the blood when you feel drowsy and try to balance your meals so that they also contain sources of protein and fat. If there are any signs of malaise, such as the aforementioned drowsiness and something bothers you - you should not underestimate it and consult with the attending physician.
