Why does the outskirts of the contraceptive patch get a brighter glow?

Hello, I wanted to ask why the contraceptive patch makes such a brighter shell to a depth of about 3 to 5 mm. I will add that the edges of the patch do not stick out. It is the 6th day of the 3rd patch.

Perhaps on the edges of the patch, the glue "wipes" more, hence the brighter glow. The skin "works", sweats, the edges of the patch have more contact with clothing and water - hence the impression that on the outskirts the patch is less adherent.
