Good morning, My 7 year old son got the drug iporel 0.5 tablets per night (later increasing the dose) for tics. Please answer - is it a relatively safe drug, because after reading the leaflet I am terrified.

According to the data presented by the manufacturer in the Iporel Safety Data Sheet: "Iporel should not be used in children and adolescents below 18 years of age due to insufficient knowledge of the efficacy and safety of clonidine in these patients." The data from the manufacturer shows that no studies have been conducted on people under 18 years of age.
