The use of Mesopral and Famogast is not contraindicated in people trying to have a child. When a positive pregnancy test result is obtained, medical advice should be sought regarding the safety of further treatment. In the case of esomeprazole (Mesopral), no harmful effects of the drug on the fetus have been proven, however, data are limited. Famotidine (Famogast), on the other hand, is used in pregnant women only if, in the doctor's opinion, the benefits of therapy outweigh the possible risks.
