Metformin (the active ingredient in Siofor 850) can very often (more than 1 in 10 people) cause gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain (abdominal pain) and loss of appetite. It is worth noting, however, that these side effects occur most often at the beginning of treatment with Siofor 850. The fact that you have a dose divided into three (you take three times a day) should alleviate possible ailments. It may also be helpful to take the pills with or immediately after a meal. Sometimes diarrhoea has been observed while taking Letrox, but the frequency of this phenomenon is not known and it is difficult to answer how likely it is that this will be a side effect in your case. Letrox contains levothyroxine - a thyroid hormone and it has the same effect as a hormone produced in a natural way. It is therefore generally well tolerated. In conclusion - there is a possibility that the drug Siofor contributes to the occurrence of diarrhea, especially if its occurrence coincided with the start of taking the drug. but it may also have another cause. Discuss this with your doctor. If he assesses that the likelihood of a side effect is high and other causes of chronic diarrhea are excluded, then he may suggest changing the drug or changing the way diabetes is treated.
