Does the occurrence of bleeding during the use of the contraceptive implant indicate that the implant does not work?

Hello, I put on a contraceptive implant on 14.09.2020 only at the beginning there was bleeding / spotting and then I did not have any period or spotting at all until today when using the toilet flew live red discharge or does it mean that the implant does not work? I last visited the doctor a year ago and I'm just waiting for an appointment.

During the use of the contraceptive implant, menstrual bleeding may change, may not occur at all, may be irregular. They can be more or less intense. The occurrence of spotting/bleeding does not indicate a lack of effectiveness of the implant and does not require special measures: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/37472/implanon-nxt-implant/ulotka/115321 The effectiveness of the implant is about 3 years. In overweight patients, your doctor may recommend that you replace the implant earlier. If you have not been to the gynecologist for a year, I encourage you to consult for control purposes.
